Ultha - Live At Soulcrusher 2022 (LP)

The music of the five-piece band Ultha, hailing from Cologne / Germany, can roughly be described as a hybrid of moody black metal, doom and dark wave. Their latest album 'All That Has Never Been True' (2022) is truly an emotional and captivating journey of the highest order. Where a seething nihilism has always raged through their work, feelings of pressure, despair but also clarity and resignation rise to the surface. Lyrically Ultha doesn’t follow any classical metal cliches, instead ruminating about the inner darkness and sadness of our human struggle to find happiness and getting lost in its failures. Four tracks of this fantastic blackgaze / atmospheric black metal album are now also featured on the live-album 'Live At Soulcrusher 2022'. The opening-live-track 'Forever Always Comes To An End' is the first song of their 2020-album 'Floors Of Heaven'. The gig at the Soulcrusher Festival in Nijmegen was recorded in multitrack and mixed & mastered by Andreas Roszyk.
