'El Grand Señior from Catalonia' was de manier waarop Dexter Gordon in de jaren 60 de blinde pianist Tete Montoliu voorstelde aan het publiek in Club Montmartre. Zijn opmerkelijke internationale carrière begon in 1956 toen Lionel Hampton hem uitnodigde voor zijn big band en sindsdien speelde Tete over de hele wereld met tal van jazzgrootheden.
