Drive-By Truckers - The Unraveling (LP)

Net op tijd 'for 2020 election season' verschijnt het nieuwe album 'The Unraveling' van Drive-By Truckers. Het is alweer hun 12 studio-release en is de opvolger van 'American Band' uit 2016 ('their most political album in their almost 25-year history'). Ook dit keer heeft het tandem Mike Cooley and Patterson Hood een fraaie mix van poppy Americana en country rock gebrouwen 'with Southern groove, hooks & pride, muscled three guitar attacks and erudite lyrics', over de huidige staat van het land; 'the most tumultuous years our country has even seen. 'American Band' was a warning shot hinting at a coming storm. This one was written in the wreckage and aftermath'.
