The Modern Lovers

The Modern Lovers only ever recorded demos and live shows, but the demos were released as albums several years later. One set of demos, produced by [a66358], were released as the band's "first album" (this one), in 1976. The artwork says the recordings are from 1971, but they were actually recorded in 1972. Another set of demos, produced by [a58690], were released as the band's "second album", [m=6676], in 1981. The artwork says the recordings were made in 1972, but liner notes on later editions say they're from 1973.
