Old Sock

Old Sock is the 19th studio album by British rock musician [a17827] and was released on March 12, 2013 on his own label [l516721]. The album features covers of Clapton's favorite songs from childhood to the present day. Only Gotta Get Over and Every Little Thing were written specifically for this album. There were many guest musicians, including [a35301], [a201571] and [a290587]. It was the last work of musician J.J. Cale. The cover photo, a self-portrait of Clapton wearing a hat, was taken with his iPhone in Antigua. The album title came about after a conversation with [a10263] In it, Bowie referred to Clapton as "Old Sock". In the United States, the album was also available in Starbucks stores shortly after its release.
